According to my personal coach, Joe Cohen, personal values are a powerful tool for evaluating what’s important.
Here is a list of eight of my personal values. Since what we value influences our behavior, think of this as a “user guide” to Eisaiah.
Which of these values do we share? I want to hear from you on Twitter! Tag me @eisaiah_e.
Invest long-term. To me, this means committing to productivity growth.
Have a vision. To me, this means asking, “What’s the overall problem we’re solving?”
Be accessible. To me, this means returning every email, social post, and call.
Invest in colleagues. To me, this means giving others a chance to shine.
Care for community. To me, this means helping the people around me who need it, with family being the priority.
Keep it simple. To me, this means breaking things down into 3’s.
Look ahead. To me, this means not chasing opportunities but anticipating their arrival.
Be close to customers. To me, this means spending lots of time with customers and the people who serve them. Shout out to Dave Cancel from Drift for his mantra, “Whoever gets closest to the customer wins.”
I’m curious to hear what your values are. Please leave a comment or share your thoughts with me on Twitter @eisaiah_e.
